Are day tickets available? Day tickets will only be available for the Sunday. You can only get them at the event at the box offices and not through advanced booking. These day tickets will however only be available if the festival is not sold out, and if there is still capacity for more visitors. Unfortunately we will only be able to foresee this on the festival weekend itself. We will inform you about this in our news. Sunday ticket: EUR 60.-
I am under 16 years of age, can I still visit the SUMMERJAM? Yes, this is not a problem if you are accompanied by a parent, custodian or legal guardian. This not only applies during the night time, but generally at any time during which you visit the event. Generally speaking the parents are the legal guardians. They can transfer the custodianship to other adult (i.e. at least 18 years of age) individuals. This accompanying person can e.g. be your brother, sister, friend or some other authorised person. What is important is that your parents give you a written permission with the transfer of the custodianship to another person for the whole duration of the festival, which you can present in case it is necessary. I am under 18 years of age, can I still visit the SUMMERJAM? Adolescents above 16 and under 18 years of age do not need to leave the event at midnight if they are accompanied by a parent, custodian or legal guardian. After midnight there must be written permission from the legal guardian, in which they transfer the custodianship to another adult person for this period of time. Starting from when can one camp on the grounds? The parking and camping areas will be open starting from Thursday 05.07. until Monday 09.07. (09.00 am). Advance campers (i.e. campers that arrive before Thursday 05.07.2012) pay approximately 10,- Euro per person and day.
Will I be able to camp in the open-air swimming pool area again? As was already announced last year, camping in the swimming pool area is unfortunately no longer possible as an extensive high-wire garden, wire slide and various other activities have been installed there. These are available to the SUMMERJAM visitors at special prices, as well as the new camping shop in the swimming pool where you can buy iso-mats, tents and everything else you may need for camping (further information at the location). The swimming pool is available for all SUMMERJAM visitors free of charge. Sanitary facilities are made available for a small charge.
Can I reserve a camping area in advance? This year we are providing a limited area in which camping spaces can be reserved by all guests. This area is located directly next to the open-air swimming pool. Prices per person € 15.- for Thursday to Monday and € 25.- for Wednesday to Monday. The space per person is approximately 3 sqm, larger areas are not available.
Is there a camping area for families? Directly next to the swimming pool we will be making an area available to provide families with a guarded and fenced-in area camp ground. As in the last years we will be asking for € 15.- contribution towards costs for the period Thursday to Monday per person (children up to 12 years of age free/ 12-18 years of age € 10.-). Advance campers that already arrive on Wednesday pay € 25.- (children 12-18 years of age € 15.-) per person. The space is respectively calculated for a 3-4 man camping tent (approx. 9 sqm). If a larger area is used then the extra space requirement needs to be paid at the location. This area is exclusively reserved for families with children.
Is it allowed to grill on the campsite? For safety reasons open fires, which also means grills, are strictly prohibited on the campgrounds. The use of other camping utensils is permitted at your own risk.
We only want to camp at the Fühlinger Lake during that time, but do not wish to visit the festival itself. Is that possible? No, that is unfortunately not possible. The whole camping and festival grounds will be fenced in. Visitors can only access the grounds with a valid ticket. This applies for the camping, as well as for the festival area. No camping tickets will be issued!
What will be available on the Festival Island in terms of food. There will be a 24-hour service available over the whole grounds. Food stalls from all over the world, as well as beverages from cocktails to soft drinks will be available, as well is also a breakfast tent and other stalls where you can pick up useful bits and pieces. In addition there is a supermarket at the commuter railway station „Chorweiler“, from where you can travel to the grounds with the shuttle.
I want to travel there with a motor caravan. How do I get a caravan ticket? These tickets will be issued by our local partner in Cologne, the company Fühlinger See GmbH. Please note that they are only valid in conjunction with a SUMMERJAM festival ticket, and only in a limited supply. For further information and registration: caravantix@fuehlinger-see.com
Where will lost property be collected? At the service station P2 there is a lost property office where you can look for your belongings.
Is entrance free for children? Children up to and including 12 years of age have free entrance. Please take the children's identity documents with you so that you can prove the age if you are questioned.

What am I allowed to take with me as provisions to the festival island? Yes, it is not a problem if you want to take your own food to the festival island. Beverages are however only allowed in original and closed 1 litre tetra packs. Glass, plastik bottles and cans will be rejected. For safety reasons there will be checkpoints at the entrances to the festival island where you will have to deposit any glass or metal containers that you may have with you.
When will I know where which band will be performing. Roughly two months before the event we will publish on our website, which stage which artist will be performing on. An exact timetable will only be available at the location on the festival weekend itself, because it can still come to changes at short notice.
Can domestic animals be taken along? No, unfortunately it is not permitted to take pets to the SUMMERJAM, neither to the festival island nor to the camping ground.
